I’m getting so excited for fall colors! It’s just around the corner! Only 17 more days for the Colorado Fall Colors Tour.

I think this is my favorite time of the year with the crisp mornings and warm afternoons and shimmering gold leaves of the aspen trees against the beautiful mountain backdrops of the Rocky Mountains. This image was taken along McClure Pass in the Aspen Snowmass Wilderness. The tops of these aspen trees towered above the hillside along Captiol Peak mixed in among the deep green pine trees. I used my Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 IS L IIs to compress the images isolating the group of golden aspens standing tall on the hillside.
